It was by an e-mail sent Wednesday that he learned the news of his early departure from his team. It had only been seven months since he had taken over the management of military intelligence, which reports to the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
General Vidaud pays among other things, according to our information, for shortcomings since the start of the Ukrainian conflict. According to a source familiar with the matter, the army staff accuses him of “lack of mastery of subjects” and “insufficient briefings”. Before being appointed to head this direction during the summer of 2021, General Vidaud commanded French special operations (COS).
