Seven Catholic religious, including two French, were kidnapped Sunday April 11 in Haiti, announces to AFP the spokesperson for the Conference of Bishops of this Caribbean country in the grip of strong insecurity.

The group, which included a French nun and a French priest, was kidnapped in the morning at Croix-des-Bouquets, near the capital Port-au-Prince, while he “was on his way to the installation of a new priest”, explained Father Loudger Mazile, specifying that the kidnappers demanded a million dollars in ransom.
